Hoarding Woes: The Unexpected

rain totals

Well the storm armageddon didn’t quite live up to the hype. Yes, it has been and is right now pouring. There will be some flooding. Yes, some coastal winds hit over 70mph and locally near 50mph, but it was not that bad AND it did not detour the traffic to the estate sale for day #2! A very successful day on what was anticipated to be somewhat quiet. Nope…they came all day and again loaded up. Tomorrow is the 50% off day so many of the same buyers from the first day will return first thing to grab up a deal.

Then after that we deal with what is left over and what to do. Voices are already edging in to position themselves for yet another sale, a Phase II Sale. But, the liquidators are looming too wanting to buy it all up .05 – .10 on the dollar. I am really tired of all this in our lives and have a sense of dread if this drags on into Fall to make more money.

We shall see how it plays out tomorrow, but regardless today was a great day with a great deal of “merchandise” headed down the driveway.

Some shoppers seemed to be dialed into a way of living foreign to me…….

Congratulations on a great second day!!! I think the word has spread as to the quality of items offered.

Listen to your heart, body and gut as to continued sales………..we all know the sacrifices that you and your lovely wife have made over the past several years………choose life!!!!! Your life, your interests, her life, her interests, joy and freedom!!!
